Making sense of Serums

Serums, they plump, hydrate, whiten, brighten, lift - the list goes on.  So what is a serum and how is it different?  Here are some insights to help you get the best out of your serum, and your face.

A serum is a specialised liquid formulation with a high concentration of active ingredients.  Its main purpose is to target specific areas, for example dark lines or wrinkles.  Use small amounts on specific areas to achieve the results.

Although some serums may contain moisturising ingredients, they are not designed to be used as an all over facial moisturiser.   For best results apply a small amount of serum to the target area after cleansing.  Leave to absorb for 5 minutes before applying your regular moisturiser over your face and neck.
