This year, we're doubling our efforts from last year! In our commitment to support worldwide bee preservation, we're now rescuing 10 Million bees from extermination across the United States.
 

WE NEED THE BEES, AND THE BEES NEED US!

Both wild and managed bee populations are declining all over the world - in the Winter of 2018 alone, US beekeepers lost 40% of their hives.* The five primary threats to pollinators - climate change, chemical pesticides, habitat loss from human development/industrial agriculture, invasive plant species, and disease/parasites - have made bees much more vulnerable to threats like colony collapse disorder.** The alarming loss of bees affects all life on earth. It's all connected.
Beyond bee wellness products like Manuka Honey and Bee Propolis, we rely on bees for our entire way of life. Bees pollinate nearly 75% of our global food supply.*** They strengthen biodiversity and help regenerate lands. The health of our planet, and our people, is dependent on the health of honey bees.

HOW COMVITA IS HELPING

For the fourth year in a row, Comvita is celebrating World Bee Day (May 20th) as a month-long celebration, taking action on a global scale to help save the bees. With nearly 50 years of beekeeping heritage in New Zealand, and 200 beehives established in Africa with our partners Saving the Wild over the last 2 years, we're going even bigger! We are committed to rescuing 10 Million+ bees from extermination across the US by partnering with independent beekeepers who perform safe bee removals and relocations around the country. Not only do our beekeeping partners directly maintain the health of hives and strength of the queen, but they nurture the environment we share with pollinators through education, activism, and pollinator-friendly living.
