3 Skin-Boosting Manuka Honey Masks by Skincare Expert Celeste Thomas

As if there’s anything Manuka Honey can’t do! Not only is it prized for its ability to help support immunity, aid in digestive and gut health, and provide antioxidants, but it could also do wonders for your skin! In fact, New York Magazine recently named Comvita UMF™ Manuka Honey one of “the best face washes for acne according to dermatologists and facialists.” Today, we’re bringing you three easy-to-make, luxurious Manuka Honey face mask recipes created by Holistic Skincare Expert and Registered Nurse, Celeste Thomas:

Dry, sensitive, oily, and acne-prone skin – I’ve struggled with it all. Scrolling through my Instagram feed, you would never believe that I was once ashamed to leave my house because of my complexion! After years of trial and error, I’ve found the secret to glowing skin.

Aside from removing inflammatory foods from my diet and making the switch to non-toxic skincare products, I have face masks to thank – especially ones that contain honey! Manuka Honey is my favorite elixir for helping promote beautiful skin. My three manuka skincare recipes make the perfect at-home self care treatments, plus they’re easy to throw together and contain ingredients you might already have on-hand in your kitchen. Win-win!

Skin-Quenching Manuka Face Mask

Skin-Quenching Manuka Face Mask

If you’re dealing with dry or sensitive skin, then this mask will be your new best friend. Manuka Honey is unique in that it’s a natural humectant agent, which means it draws in moisture for the long haul.

Ingredients:

  • (makes 1 face mask)
  • 1 teaspoon Comvita Premium Grade UMF™ 10+ Manuka Honey
  • ¼ teaspoon bee pollen
  • ¼ teaspoon aloe juice

Face mask mixture

Recipe:

  • Add honey and bee pollen into a medium bowl, using the back of a spoon press the bee pollen into the honey, infusing the honey with the tiny pollen bits.
  • Whisk in the aloe juice until well combined
  • Chill for 5 minutes in the fridge before you apply for the perfect mask texture

Directions:

  • Apply mask to clean skin, leave on for 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly with cool water, and follow with normal AM or PM skincare routine.
  • Repeat 1-3 items a week on your body for glowing clear skin

  • 2 teaspoons Raw Cane Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar (omit for any areas of compromised skin)

Body mask application

  • Add all ingredients to a medium bowl
  • Whisk together until well incorporated

Directions:

  • Apply mask to clean skin while in the shower and leave on for 10 minutes
  • Gently exfoliate in circular motions using your hands and then rinse thoroughly.
  • Follow with normal moisturizer.
  • Repeat 1-3 items a week on your body for glowing, clear skin

Clarifying Manuka Mask with Kaolin Clay
