Spiced Golden Milk

This creamy, dairy-free drink is not only delicious, it’s filled to the brim with beneficial nutrients. A key ingredient in traditional Indian cooking and medicine, turmeric is lauded for its powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Similarly, Manuka Honey has been used for centuries for its healing properties, such as its ability to help soothe coughs and sore throats.

Spiced Golden Milk

Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
½ teaspoon dried turmeric
1 (½-inch) piece ginger, unpeeled, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon Comvita UMF™ Manuka Honey
1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
¼ teaspoon whole black peppercorns
Ground cinnamon (for serving)

Directions:
Whisk first 7 ingredients in a small saucepan, then bring to a low boil.
Reduce heat then let simmer.
Pour hot milk into a mug through a fine tea strainer.
Top with ground cinnamon.
Serve with a smile!


Ginger Turmeric Cider

Everyone knows that a spoonful of Manuka Honey already packs a potent punch on its own, so why not add a few more healthful ingredients into the mix? Ginger has a long-standing tradition for aiding in digestion, and apple cider vinegar has been shown to have positive effects on blood sugar levels. While we can't promise that this supertonic cider will cure you of all your winter ills, we can promise you’ll love its zingy, sweet taste.

Ginger Turmeric Cider

Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
¼ tsp turmeric
¼ tsp raw grated ginger
Comvita UMF™ 20+ Manuka Honey (for serving)

Directions:
Combine first five ingredients in a small pot.
Bring to a boil, then immediately remove from heat.
Let steep for 5 minutes.
Add a heaping spoonful of Comvita UMF™ 20+ Manuka Honey.
Stir together.
Sip & enjoy!
