Lunchbox Friendly Muffin Recipe

This back-to-school snack will quickly become a regular in your household, and a family favorite. They are delicious, soft and naturally sweetened with our MGO 50+ Manuka Honey. They are also gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and nut-free, so they make the best lunchbox snack for kids and adults alike. Nutritionist, Naturopath and recipe developer Casey-Lee from @livelovenourish created this recipe to celebrate the start of the school year and to help busy parents fill their kids' lunchboxes with delicious and healthy snacks.   • 2/3 cup overripe mashed banana
  • 1/2 cup plant based milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp MGO 50+ Manuka Honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar free chocolate chips (optional)


  1. In a mixing bowl combine banana, milk, yoghurt, MGO 50+ Manuka Honey & lemon juice.
  2. Add buckwheat flour, coconut flour, baking powder & cinnamon. 
  3. Mix to combine.
  4. Spoon into a lined muffin tray. Bake in a pre-heated moderate oven for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
