Comvita beeswax food wraps are a natural and eco-friendly alternative to traditional, single-use cling-wrap.

Handmade with all natural ingredients - including 100% cotton, pure NZ beeswax from our own sustainably managed hives, tree resin, jojoba, coconut and manuka oil - our wraps are naturally antibacterial and will allow your food to breathe (unlike plastic).

Each Comvita beeswax food wrap should last around one year (depending on usage) and is easy compostable at the end of its life for zero waste.

Measuring 35 x 35cm (13.8 x 13.8 inches), our wraps come in a beautiful design.

As well as brilliantly covering food and wrapping sandwiches, your wraps can also be used to:
• Cover leftovers in the fridge, as well as fresh foods such as fruit and vegetables, cheese and herbs.
• Prolong the life of food. Try wrapping half an avocado to prove it (they can last up to a week in a beeswax food wrap).
• Use it as a breathable cover for rising dough – and a non-stick surface to knead your dough – a win-win!
• Freeze your wrap, then use it to keep food and drinks fresh and cool in hot weather (thaw it slowly so it doesn’t crack).
• Use it as a non-stick surface for kneading dough or baking ingredients.

• After use, simply wipe with a clean cloth or rinse with cold water and eco-friendly soap if necessary. Avoid using hot water as this can cause the coating to melt and reduce the wrap’s effectiveness.
• Blot the wrap dry with a clean tea towel or simply hang or place on a dish rack to dry.
• Some sauces may stain your wrap, so be sure to clean them as soon as possible after using (although these stains won't affect the way the wrap works).
• If the edges of your wrap start to fray, simply trim any loose ends. A pair of pinking shears (the scissors that make that wavy pattern as they cut!) is best for this.
• If your wrap is starting to look tired, refresh it by leaving on a baking tray in the afternoon sun.
• Store your wraps in a clean dry place for next time.

Our bees are clever little creatures and we’re proud to share the honey they produce with the world - whether that’s wrapping your food, helping to support your wellness and gut health, soothing a tickly throat or giving you a pre-workout energy boost.

Comvita are the pioneers of Manuka Honey in New Zealand and working at the forefront of science to deepen our understanding of the hive's healing power. We source the highest quality natural ingredients from remote corners of New Zealand, and use leading science to verify their purity and potency.
